The EPBR Annual Scholarship Program

Patricia Sanderson serves as a real estate broker for Crestar Realty, LLC, in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. In this capacity, she represents buyers and sellers during real estate transactions and provides HOA property management services. Active within the professional community, Patricia (“Trish”) Sanderson belongs to the Eastern Panhandle Board of Realtors (EPBR).

Since 1977, the EPBR has supported the real estate industry through its many programs, including the EPBR Scholarship Program. Each year, the organization awards eight graduating seniors from a high school in Jefferson, Morgan, or Berkeley Counties. These awards are in the amount of $500 and must be used to cover educational and tuition expenses at a university, college, or technical school. Each scholarship check is payable to the recipient and the institution he or she is attending.

Seniors who want to apply for an EPBR scholarship can do so by completing and submitting the organization’s two-page application. Alongside this application, seniors must provide their high school attendance record and transcript and an essay of up to 250 words discussing what they hope to gain by continuing their education.

Moreover, applicants are required to submit two reference forms. These references may be an acceptance letter for a university, college, of technical school or a letter of recommendation or resume.
